Paulo Salgado graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering (first
Degree (before Bolonha), 1989; M.Sc, 1994 and Ph.D,1999) . He is
Associate Professor of the Department of Electric Engenieering, School
of Science and Tecnology of UTAD, where he lectures Robotics,
Intelligent Systems and Computer Science, He is a researcher at CITAB.
Her research interests are in the areas of Soft Computing, Machine
Learning, Pattern Recognition and their applications to a broad range
José Silvestre Silva, is Auxiliary Professor at Exact Sciences and Engineering Department, Portuguese Military Academy. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering and he is a member of LibPhys-UC and CINAMIL research centers. His scientific interests are Medical Image Processing, Remote Sensing and Multi-Spectral Image Analysis, Cryptography and Cybersecurity / Ciberdefense.
Susana Brás graduated in Applied Mathematics in the School of Sciences at the University of Porto in 2005, completed the PhD in Biomedical Sciences in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2010 (Cum Laude). She is a researcher at Institute of Electronics and Informatics Engineering of Aveiro (IEETA), University of Aveiro, Portugal. Her research interests are focused on ECG biometric identification, emotional modulated environments and information extraction from biomedical databases. At this research unit, she supervised several master and PhD students. She published several papers in top journals and conferences. Also, she participated in several national and international financed projects.
António Cunha é Professor Auxiliar na Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), onde leciona na área das Redes de computadores e da Aprendizagem máquina. É doutorado pela UTAD desde 2005. É desde 2014 investigador sénior do Centro de Investigação em Engenharia Biomédica, C-BER / INEC TEC. Os seus interesses de investigação estão focados na análise de imagens médicas e biológicas, visão computacional, aprendizado de máquina, e em particular no desenvolvimento de métodos e ferramentas de CAD aplicado em várias modalidades de imagem, tais como imagens de TAC e vídeos endoscópicos.
