Paulo Salgado graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering (first
Degree (before Bolonha), 1989; M.Sc, 1994 and Ph.D,1999) . He is
Associate Professor of the Department of Electric Engenieering, School
of Science and Tecnology of UTAD, where he lectures Robotics,
Intelligent Systems and Computer Science, He is a researcher at CITAB.
Her research interests are in the areas of Soft Computing, Machine
Learning, Pattern Recognition and their applications to a broad range
Hélder P. Oliveira graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2004, received the M.Sc. degree in Automation, Instrumentation and Control in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2013 at the Faculdade de Engenharia, Universidade do Porto, Portugal.
He is currently working as Senior Researcher at INESC TEC - Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ciência. He is also working at the Departamento de Ciências de Computadores of the Faculdade de Ciências of the Universidade do Porto as an Invited Assistant Professor.
Since 2007 has co-authored more than 70 publications in international journals and conferences.
Hélder Oliveira is member of Portuguese Association of Pattern Recognition (APRP) and was been elected for president of the fiscal council in 2017.
His research interests include medical image analysis, bio-image analysis, computer vision, image and video processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence and 3D modelling.
José Silvestre Silva, is Auxiliary Professor at Exact Sciences and Engineering Department, Portuguese Military Academy. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering and he is a member of LibPhys-UC and CINAMIL research centers. His scientific interests are Medical Image Processing, Remote Sensing and Multi-Spectral Image Analysis, Cryptography and Cybersecurity / Ciberdefense.
